Brief

Highfields Happy Hens is a free range egg farm open to the general public. Its attractions include feeding the animals, collecting your own eggs, educational activities, rides and its excellent fresh produce from its farm shop.

Highfields also serves an important purpose in helping young people from difficult backgrounds learn to respect themselves and become positive members of society. They are encouraged to play an active part in the daily running of the farm, giving them a purpose in a caring supportive environment.

Their old website was not a professional build and did not reflect the newer activity seen by the farm.

The brief was to develop a web standards compliant site which would appeal to parents and children, schools and the local community.

This was achieved by combining striking photography, fun video and informative content, including a BBC film feature about the farm.

Not only can Highfields update and edit their own website, but they've also got video clips, including a BBC feature, Image Galleries / Slideshows and a Google map.
